Forward-link Throughput Optimization for Wireless Cellular Packet Data Networks
نویسنده
چکیده
An attempt has been made in this paper to access the control layer of the General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) network base station (BS), using throughput optimization. We focus on the effect of packet transmissions on the throughput of forwardlink (downlink) power balancing, with specific interest on the relative throughput of the four GPRS coding schemes for a realistic GPRS network operating in Nigeria. We derive a model capable of improving the channel quality and simulate the throughput and choice of optimum coding scheme over diverse packet sizes using the MATrix LABoratory toolkit. Simulation results show that the existing system requires effective network optimization to improve the system’s throughput performance.

متن کاملImproving Bandwidth-power Efficiency of Homogeneous Wireless Networks Using On-meet Threshold Strategy (RESEARCH NOTE)
Over two decades, a problem of location dependent has been focused for improving the communication Bandwidth-Power Efficiency of homogeneous networks. The efficiencies of communication links are weakened by the Hidden Terminal Problem. Thus we propose a Fine – Tune Strategy for analyzing the On-Off communication region. We were observed that the proposed technique had been able to track and mo...
متن کاملStudies on Data Transport Protocols for Wireless Cellular Networks
Mobile Internet technology based on wireless cellular networks has been rapidly deployed over the last several years. In the Internet, TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is used as a standard transport layer protocol. TCP was developed in the early 1970s and has been continuously improved. Though it was designed for a wired network, it has also been used for wireless networks but without enoug...
متن کاملAsymptotic Close to Optimal Resource Allocation in Centralized Multi-band Wireless Networks
This paper concerns sub-channel allocation in multi-user wireless networks with a view to increasing the network throughput. It is assumed there are some sub-channels to be equally divided among active links, such that the total sum rate increases, where it is assumed each link is subject to a maximum transmit power constraint. This problem is found to be a non-convex optimization problem and i...

Wireless Body Sensor Networks (WBSNs) involve a convergence of biosensors, wireless communication and networks technologies. WBSN enables real-time healthcare services to users. Wireless sensors can be used to monitor patients’ physical conditions and transfer real time vital signs to the emergency center or individual doctors. Wireless networks are subject to more packet loss and congestion. T...
